A little Q and A...

Q:
Hi
I was just checking out your photos and they are amazing! Did you take a special course? I just take my own and was wondering if you have any tips for the way you take yours?
Thanks, Tracy

A:
Thanks! I did apply to go to school but turned it down at the advice of my mentors and my lack of a budget for it at the time. I honestly think it just takes time to find your own groove. Figure out what makes you different from other photographers, and what you have to offer. Check out and study other photographer's photos and find what catches your attention in them and go out and try to apply to same feeling to your photos as well. However, copying is never a good way to go. Keep it original, and unique, and spend time on your editing afterwards.

Hope that helps!

Jessica

My suggestion would be not to "over-edit" your photographs.
Learn to capture light and colour the way you intend with your camera. Spend time learning your camera, instead of learning software.
